Doubt it. I imagine it does it via Near-Field Communication (NFC), and the Optimus S/V/etc. don't have NFC hardware inside them.

When I took my phone apart it has a wifi antenna plug not being used wonder if we could use it for something like that?

NFC got nothing to do with it AFAIK. NFC is for communicating between to NFC devices or NFC device and a tag. Like iPhone's bump, Google Wallet, etc.

Correct. this was on some of the palm phones and is unrelated to NFC. Could you do it? That depends.I know you're willing to root, but are you willing to take a screwdriver to your phone.if so, take a look at the guides for some other phones here on AC (I knows there's a guide for the evo.

IMO it isn't worth the risk and effort. parts of My screen are broken so I'm just holding on till the evo any way.I still think it would be awesome to see though.
