Sorry to take this too far off topic...
Anyone care to chime in on that long post copied from wpcentral?
I have referenced a few things mentioned in it at xda developers because it wasn't the first time I'd heard it, and it was relevant. There seems to be an ongoing conflict. Many disagreed with it.
I can personally feel my phone getting warmer using a 2.1a charger, yet people tell me it makes no difference how many miliamps it is since it adjusts the output. And I personally know people that are always on the road, leave the phone plugged in to a charger, with or without an inverter, and their battery usage time is sub par.
There's a difference between battery life, and life of battery. It makes it hard to research.
Basically I'd like to know in case this phone stays in the family for a few years. It won't directly impact me in six months or a year when I get rid of it. But there just HAS TO BE some measurable amount of negative impact to the battery leaving it plugged in at 100 percent 8 hours a day.
I know with laptops, unless you're using something high end or a think pad, constantly using the laptop while it's plugged in is going to ruin the battery. Its best to partially charge the battery, remove it, and even put it in the refrigerator, if you plan on using AC power only anyway.
