Very frustrated with wireless charging. I see why Apple hasn't adopted it. When I first got my Note 5 in August WC worked great. Now it seems to work sporadically. I've done the daydream trick and that seems to fix it. Odd thing going is, my 2013 Nexus 7 acts the same way now. I'm guessing this was an Android software issue? I've tried numerous different wireless chargers including the Samsung OEM one. Any advice? I curse myself for accepting software updates!!!!

Forgot to add that it appears to have something to do with the screen shutting off. When the screen goes off, the charging stops. Was never like that before.

Are you sure you're using the Rapid Charger on your wireless charger? I have the Qi Infinity WC and it works great, with case on or off.

Charging problems are about the charger, not the phone. I have way more problems with the Samsung chargers than with the Tylt (which is flawless). The Samsung chargers (both the fast charger and the conventional puck) behave in the exact way the op is describing.

Thanks. I'll try the Tylt one.

Folks seem to have good luck with the Choetech wireless chargers, which are about half the price of the Tylt ones.

From my AT&T Platinum Gold Note 5

I've got a Choetech coming on Tuesday. The Amazon reviews look good, will report back after I've used it for a bit.

The one small concern for me is that the Note 5 manual says don't use any charger not approved by them (meaning one that says Samsung on it). I'm guessing that's to sell more of their overpriced accessories, but with a battery that you can't replace it just makes me a bit nervous.

I think the Phone case you have and where you lay the phone on the charger may have something to do with it also.
