Wireless Charging?

Before I got my S3 I was looking through the manual. It mentioned that it might get hot during wireless charging. I was told that it did not have wireless charging as an option. I can't find any mention of it anywhere else. I tried placing it on the charger last night. The charger LED flashed, as opposed to the usual solid light while charging, and the charging icon did not show up on the screen. Has anyone successfully been able to charge the S3 wirelessly?

I had a quick look on Samsung's website and they didn't mention anything about wireless charging. 😃 So I presume it doesn't have this functionality.

Here's where my confusion comes from

Thanks for posting a photo, I definitely see where your confusion comes from. 😃 I think It might just be a generic user help guide saying that "wireless or fast charging" (depending on your device) may heat up the phone or tablet.

Saves Samsung money for not having to make unique user manuals for every single device.

Well, that's just disappointing. :)

The charging port on my Nexus 7 died a couple of years ago and I was able to keep using the tablet because of wireless charging. It's also easier after reading in bed to just place it on the charger instead of fumbling for the cord. No big deal in the long run

Try a search on Amazon for a Type C Wireless Charging Receiver. You'll need a third party cover to make it work. It plugs into the type C Port you fold it over to the back and slide the entire thing into a cover. I'm not aware of a universal wireless receiver that provides fast wireless charging though.
