An associate had to replace her Droid with a Droid X2. She had been using Easy Tether with the Droid but with Verizon getting picky about tethering she decided to activate the Hot Spot feature for $20 a month. What a disappointment.
First problem is that when she connects her laptop to the phone many times the connection reports local access only and you cannot browse the internet. If she tries several times to reconnect eventually she will get internet access. However most of the time the speed is such as to be unuseable. Occasionally it will kick into high gear.
She is running Windows 7 Professional on the laptop.
Are there some phone settings that can be tweaked to improve this feature or is this the way it is?
