Wireless Projection Desktop Mode to Chromecast

Have been having a play with Desktop Mode in EMUI 9 and it seems good, however, I have been connecting this directly to my TV (smart), but would like to know how I could do the same to a Chromecast device, when my other TV's are not smart and could not be connected to

Look in your quick menu icons - when you pull down - there should be one labeled Cast. That should give you a selection of the Chromecast devices you have running. Chose one and you're casting.

Chromecast only supports certain apps, it won't mirror over everything so it's probably not compatible with desktop mode.

The TV is probably using a variation of Miracast which can screen mirror anything. Roku and Samsungs smart switch are miracast based and so are the TVs that support their tech.

its not wireless but i own the microsoft 500 dock and it works flawless with desktop mode and even charges the phone.
