Wireless tether AP mode

I've been trying to get my fascinate to run any sort of wireless hotspot app to run in ap mode. I want it to connect to my ps3 (i don't play online games, just to update my system/check messages ect...)

but the problem is it only seems to run in ad-hoc, which ps3 can't detect.

So does anyone have a way to get wireless tether or any app to run in ap mode?

Downloads - android-wifi-tether - Wireless Tether for Root Users - Google Project Hosting use beta 6 and set device name to samsung galaxy indulge then change set up method to softtap master. I use this all the time to play mw3.

tried all those apps everybody got excited about in the gnex forums but none worked, sometimes my ipad would see the phone, the one widget app even had the devices connected but it seems the phone automatically shuts down my internet

Well I got it to work a while ago, I found the link posted, but the indulge wouldn't work for me. I got it working by using 3.1 beta 9 and seting the device to Google Nexus and softtap.

But I'm running ICS, so I don't know if this works for all.

Well i run wireless tether 2.07 and i use it on my 360 and the internet works great im not sure if the ps3 and 360 use the same conection though
