wireless tether app vs. mobile hotspot access.

Is there a difference between a wireless tether app and the mobile hotspots turned on? Can sprint tell the difference from which one I am using. With my wireless tether app, my children could get online when I was on the phone...with mobile hotspots on, a call shuts off hotspots until I end the call.

Sprint cant tell at all. All they can see is how much data youre using.

Be aware they can tell if you are using your phone as a hotspot if you are not paying for it... based on how the internet data is being handled... AC had an article about this a while back

Yeah, and they won't notify you and will just charge you for using the data...
