AC Question

Greetings! I'm running on my Samsung Gnex where wireless tethering is no problem for VZN's unlimited data plan. But I do understand that it's not possible with standard apps such as FoxFi or SVTP on many KitKat devices which includes the G2. I'm fine with rooting the G3 when I get it, but has anyone gone through a method to enable the wireless tethering without subscribing to Verizon's plan for $30 a month? I use the wireless tethering feature very heavily so until it's possible, converting is a no-go or I've got to choose another phone such as the M8 or S5 where apps such as FoxFi do work. Thoughts?

I'd like to know too.
I'm debating getting the LG G3 to replace my Samsung Galaxy S4.
Right now, I have no issues tethering on unlimited.
I can't give that up.

My phone gets 40Mbps down using speedtest, but when i do a speedtest from my ipad (using wifi tethering) i get about half of that.
