We are getting so close to the perfect foldable flagship.

My wishlist, in no particular order:

Continue to make the outer display just a tad wider and use the anti-reflective glass as found on S24/25U devices

Continue reducing the crease on inner display

Change camera hump orientation from horizontal to vertical to remove the wobble when laying flat and closed

Continue improving camera hardware/specs

And, last but not least, bigger battery!

Anyone prefer different upgrades?

Agree with most, but bigger screen isn't needed. All we have to do is opem it up.

I'll add no camera on the inside screen, flossy said that perfectly. Maybe if we lose that useless camera we could get bigger battery.

The size of this phone is perfect. I have no desire to go back to the S25U.

Agree also Spen support both screens
Yeah, there no reason not to have a spen, the digitizer isn't going to change the thickness that much. I've been reading that the spen could be in danger with the S series also. I don't know why Samsung would want to rock that boat. I don't think we will ever see a spen silo for the fold as they want thin, which might be why I've seen talk of the spen going away on the S series, trying to go thinner. Can't go smaller without losing things, I think it's a mistake if Samsung removes the spen on the S series.

I would rather lose the camera on inside screen all together, but a good compromise was the UDC. The front camera will do the high quality images or video if needed. As I said in past, flossy said it best on the inside camera.

For me, the only real upgrade I would like to see is a switch to silicon-carbon batteries.

Quick summary so you don't have to Google it:

Silicon-carbon batteries are a type of lithium-ion battery that utilize a silicon-carbon anode instead of the traditional graphite anode. This design allows for higher energy density, as silicon can hold significantly more lithium than graphite, with a charge capacity of 420 mAh/g compared to graphite's 372 mAh/g.

IP68 water/dust resistance. Since Google Pixel foldable just mentioned being IP68 on their new phone. A little more piece of mind when i see a spec of dust just resting in the gap of the hinge would be nice.

I know it could/would add thickness but...

Built in magnetic ring for magsafe device and in a position lower than current to allow more accessories.

Upgrade to camera to at least give high quality to to at least 10x (for a $2000 phone I'm going to ask min 10x). Up to 30x would be great.

If these things are going to add a couple of mm and too thick for some, make it a separate model and call it the Z fold 8 ULTRA with everything above and add in a 5000mah battery. :)

Good call on the IP68.

I agree, also bigger screen should get into a ultra mode.

True. I am pretty happy that the ZF7 front screen is actually "normal" sized. Meaning I put my ZF7 next to a base iPhone 16e I have at work and the screen width is pretty much equal.

But yeah if you think that the ZF7 is "as-thin" as a S25U and lighter and we are going to go BIG with the Ultra...

ZF8 Ultra... make it the same dimension as the S25U. That extra size will fit the 5000mah battery. May even acommodate room for better zoom camera to 30x zoom. Fit in the mag rings internally and lower? IP68 of course.

It should stay as thin as current ZF7. Probably some grams heavier but not crazy I think. I don't think it would eat into the S26U market because I can see them pricing the Ultra at $2300.

Move the camera bar to horizontal, and then Qi2 accessories would be fine.

This drives me crazy on the S25 Ultra too. There is only one wallet made by Spigen that does not cover the bottom camera.

Then of course the wobble would be gone too. Kill several birds with 1 stone!
