won't take photos with low battery?

I mean... seriously? I had about 15% charge (perhaps 10) and the camera app would open, act as normal with showing the video of wherever I was pointing, and then a pop up came up saying the battery was low. When I would hit okay or whatever it said, it shut the camera app down.

1. Has anyone else had this issue

2. will I have to wait for custom roms to come out to fix this ridiculous problem?

I think most phones have this feature built in. i dont know if it can be fixed in custom roms since camera firmware is seperate

It's a built in de-fault. The flash pulls a lot of battery and its set so you are not left with out power for the phone.

but it won't let you take photos even without the flash? I don't care about the flash. It was set to no flash. It's idiotic, especially as the entire time the popup is there it's taking up so much battery life by running the camera and updating the preview constantly.

The battery icon was still in the yellow. Idiotic.

I agree! This feature is really annoying! how about at 5% you lock me out. THAT i can accept! but at 15%!? Ughhh!!!

This was set in the galaxy s phones and it can be removed with custom roms.

Just be careful, there is a current issue with Low Battery/over amperage draw that killy the phone, and you have to pull the Battery to get the phone to re-boot.

I just switched over from Apple to galaxy and I have never been more annoyed in my life. Iphone I could have taken a picture at 1%, yet my phone is at 15% and I can't take a picture. Ridiculous.
