i just got a call from them. regardless of the fact that i've emailed and called them, they had to call me at the last possible minute to say they needed some info to manually process the order including SS, drivers license # and D.O.B. she then processed the order and told me i would get my confirmation in email shortly and should have the phone in 24 - 48 hours. i told her i pre-ordered on the 21st so that i could have it by the 29th and wanted to make sure i got it tomorrow. she said they're handling the orders as they get them and there were a lot of orders before me. i said that's not true and i've been watching others order them as late as today and get shipping info. so who knows when i'll get mine.
major pre-order fail.
now she just called me back wanting my CC#. i told her it sounded fishy that she wanted all that and i told her they already charged me. she sounded 'shocked' that they already charged me and was wondering if i got tracking info yet. of course i haven't. but she said it hadn't shown as shipped so she's making a note and will call me in the morning to let me know if it shipped or not. i told her i pre-ordered to make sure i got it on the 29th. she only apologized.
verizon is pissing me off from the get go.
and now it only shows this on the verizon status page -
"Order Status: Your order has been shipped. You can track your shipment at
Global Homepage. Your tracking number is ."
and no, i did not delete the tracking number. that's exatly what it says.
