Woot! Order status changed!

If your waiting until August because your upgrade isn't due, then I suggest you call Verizon tomorrow once the phone is released and ask for an early upgrade. Of they say no, politely ask for a supervisor then calmly and professionally ask the supervisor for an early upgrade for a valued customer (that's you) most of the time they will do it. I believe they can offer it up to 4 months early.

Ya my upgrade is in August. I didnt know you could get an upgrade that early.
Are there extra fees involved?

No extra fees.. My upgrade wasn't until late June. I called and very politely asked for an early upgrade. They aren't supposed to do it for pre-order devices but long story short, they did. A verizon rep told me a long time ago that they can offer an early upgrade up to 4 months. The way it was explained to me was that they don't give you any NE2 discount, rather they just let you purchase at the NE2 price. for example I was due to receive $50 off any phone of my choice, once the early upgrade goes into effect, that goes away but they let me order my incredible for the $199. rebate was instant. No need to go to verizon and drop $299 then wait 4+ weeks for a mail in. Good luck!
 
Mine was just delivered, 2GB card included.

Smaller than I thought it would be, especially compared to the Storm1 but not a complaint at all.

Going to go setup and play for a while.

Mine was just delivered, mother in law signed for it. Will be a while before I get to play with it as I'm visiting my wife in the hospital after work. Wife is more important, phone can wait till later.

Wow you ordered before a lot of people on this site and it's not delivered yet???.. Have you tried calling? I ordered late on 4/19 and mine has attempted to be delivered today to me (wasn't home.. going ot FedEx facility after work to get it)
 
yes, they finally charged me!! now i await an email and a status change. come on email!

i didn't get an email like many people are getting. so i called verizon and spoke to someone in the internet orders department. she said my order has been processed and will be shipped out today. she wasn't sure why i didn't get an email, but assured i would get the shipping tracking info once it is keyed into the system.

i just got a call from them. regardless of the fact that i've emailed and called them, they had to call me at the last possible minute to say they needed some info to manually process the order including SS, drivers license # and D.O.B. she then processed the order and told me i would get my confirmation in email shortly and should have the phone in 24 - 48 hours. i told her i pre-ordered on the 21st so that i could have it by the 29th and wanted to make sure i got it tomorrow. she said they're handling the orders as they get them and there were a lot of orders before me. i said that's not true and i've been watching others order them as late as today and get shipping info. so who knows when i'll get mine.

major pre-order fail.

now she just called me back wanting my CC#. i told her it sounded fishy that she wanted all that and i told her they already charged me. she sounded 'shocked' that they already charged me and was wondering if i got tracking info yet. of course i haven't. but she said it hadn't shown as shipped so she's making a note and will call me in the morning to let me know if it shipped or not. i told her i pre-ordered to make sure i got it on the 29th. she only apologized.

verizon is pissing me off from the get go.

and now it only shows this on the verizon status page -

"Order Status: Your order has been shipped. You can track your shipment at www.fedex.com. Your tracking number is ."

and no, i did not delete the tracking number. that's exatly what it says.
