Well... the gods must have noticed my displeasure, I just got a shipping notice for delivery tomorrow!
 
I have the "still being processed" BS - I just called Verizon and the woman on the phone assured me I would get my phone tomorrow. I asked her to repeat herself like 5 times. And I got her name. . . just in case.

My advice is to chill and hope for the best.

Yeah - I still have the "processing" status online, but I just received my shipment notification. Sounds like there's a bunch that will be going out shortly (just got off the phone with Internet Ordering).

It's being overnighted to me and I'll receive it tomorrow. Hooray!

My phone on the truck now "On FedEx vehicle for delivery" from NORTH HILLS, CA around 20 miles from my place.

I hope they arrive before my wife goes out with the kids to the park , Fingers Crossed !!!


Update: Finally ....!!!! , on Apr 28, 2010 @ 1:29 PM, the great "DROID INCREDIBLE" arrived safe and sound at my home , my wife signed for it, and I think I'm feeling sick now , I have to ask my manager to leave early to see my "DROID INCREDIBLE" doctor ;) :D
 
Mine arrived. It is a beautiful device. Not at all upset about no Nexus One now.
 
WTF!!!! mine still says you will get your shipment in 2-3 business days! no tracking number yet. it is shipping 5 minutes from my house, does that have something to do with it? i called 4 times today too....

I live on the east coast, so I have had phones shipped from the PA warehouse and the TX warehouse. It will depend on where there is stock and I hope its not the east coast since the cut off time was 4pm

yea that location, Coatesville, is 35/40 minutes west of Philadelphia
 
i just got a call from them. regardless of the fact that i've emailed and called them, they had to call me at the last possible minute to say they needed some info to manually process the order including SS, drivers license # and D.O.B. she then processed the order and told me i would get my confirmation in email shortly and should have the phone in 24 - 48 hours. i told her i pre-ordered on the 21st so that i could have it by the 29th and wanted to make sure i got it tomorrow. she said they're handling the orders as they get them and there were a lot of orders before me. i said that's not true and i've been watching others order them as late as today and get shipping info. so who knows when i'll get mine.

major pre-order fail.

now she just called me back wanting my CC#. i told her it sounded fishy that she wanted all that and i told her they already charged me. she sounded 'shocked' that they already charged me and was wondering if i got tracking info yet. of course i haven't. but she said it hadn't shown as shipped so she's making a note and will call me in the morning to let me know if it shipped or not. i told her i pre-ordered to make sure i got it on the 29th. she only apologized.

verizon is pissing me off from the get go.

and now it only shows this on the verizon status page -

"Order Status: Your order has been shipped. You can track your shipment at Global Homepage. Your tracking number is ."

and no, i did not delete the tracking number. that's exatly what it says.

that is weird. not sure if people have noticed the "bill to account" option. i started using that to avoid any payment issues. you account has to be in good standing in order to upgrade anyhow, might as well use that option and pay a bit later too.

Probably not the best Forum to ask this but, What do you guys think is an "acceptable" full charge time. I got my Incredible today. Manually transfered my contacts over because Verizon charges $20 to do it now and after a few other tweaks, the battery died. I know batteries have memory and short charging, epically early in its life can cause it to not perform as good so.... Whats an acceptable Full Charge time period?
