Oh, it kills my battery... I just assumed it was because of the screen usage though.

I just noticed that it does seem to use a lot of battery. With the update they allow you to set your notification check intervals. I assume this means the notificatiosn arent push?! Maybe this is why is uses so much battery? Checking for moves every 5 minutes?

I've only got one game going, but I notice that sometimes when I get the notification that its my turn, when I open the app it still says its the other player's turn.

Sometimes it stay like this for a few minutes, sometimes hours.

Anybody else experiencing this lag between notification and the app updating to show the other player's word and allow you to play? I could understand if it was just a few minutes for the servers to update, but it has taken 2+ hours about half the time

Oo didn't notice an update, I set it to 1 hour.. Hopefully that will help

Edit- I can already see a tremendous battery improvement, thanks again for the heads up on that update

Nice try, but just the fact that it isn't cross-platform compatible and has about 1% the community that Words With Friends has makes your statement dumb.

Started to see this after putting ad free on my Evo. Zynga said learn to like the ads Nd remove ad free to get it to work.

Anyone have any iphone friends who kick their ars in WWF?

I've been playing some people who have the iphone and who I know are not "near as smart as I am" but have been beating me pretty badly, and I'm pretty good at scrabble.

Well after some research there is an app for the iphone called scrabulizer that will tell you what word to play to get the best score possible. You just have to insert the pieces that have been played into the board.

Just wanted to give some of you a heads up if you feel like you're getting destroyed.

haha my friend does that. their is also an app equivalent for android, its called scrable help or something like that.

Can somebody tell me why my Words With Friends is acting up. The home screen appears and then disappears and i cant do anything to fix it. Can somebody help me please! :'(

I've got an HTC One M8 and am having the same problem. WWF launches but then immediately crashes (disappears). I finally figured out that I could use WWF Classic but I don't like it as much. WWF and Trivia Crack have been working great on my phone for months, now all the sudden they don't work. I've done a complete factory reset but still no luck. Am running Lookout right now to check for viruses. Don't know what else to do. Any ideas?

I just discovered. If I uninstall Trivia Crack then download it from the Play Store. Once it's installed, when I launch the app I make sure I don't log into the app using Facebook. It's working fine now. Now I'm going to uninstall WWF Classic and do the same thing and see it that works too.

Addendum - this worked ok for a couple of games but it's back to crashing. So this is obviously not the solution.

Strange. Did the same thing with WWF but it's still crashing. Any ideas?
