Workaround to Google calendar only sync one year

PLEASE tell me someone has a workaround to Google calendars only syncing one year. I've tried both the Google calendar app, and 3rd party apps, and it is CRITICAL I be able to see more then one year of events on my phone!! What's weird is, I could see back to the BEGINNING OF TIME on my S6, but just got the S9, and even using the same calendar app, it will only show me one year. I am freaking out!!

How did you add it? Did you start fresh , or did you do some kind of device switch or restore? Can you remove the account, re-add it and choose forever this time?

I added it "fresh". There is no place to choose how long it syncs back. It's just one year. Period. Google acknowledges that one year is all you get, tough $#!+ if you don't like it. I'm just hoping for some kind of back door workaround.

ah, that explains why events I added on my old phone for 2019 haven't synced to my S9. Bit frustrating!

Just checked. Can get Forever for emails, but only 1 year for Calendar. Hmmm
