World clock constantly appearing when making calls

This is not a Samsung Issue, Nor is it an android issue. Its a Verizon issue... They caused this issue with the software through the horrible mods they incorporate into android. U cant even use Samsung Kies to back up your Samsung phone if you have Verizon. Verizon SUCKS

This issue is not Verizon related it happens with Sprint also

Me too AT&T subscriber with the same problem with World clock appearing during phone usage.

I have the same problem with my Note 2. Did you ever figure out how to solve it?

Follow these steps to resolve this issue:
Go to Settings> then under device tab go to Call> then go to Turn off screen during calls....make sure this is checked.
On some Android phones this last tab will read: Turn on proximity sensor during calls....either way, make sure this is checked.
This should take care of it.

Thanks for the heads-up re: Samsung and Verizon. Though I was loosing my mind - both with the World Clock constantly appearing and with my inability to get Kies to work. Good to know it Not just Me! Super annoying, though.

This could be because your smart connect is enabled. Go through your options, look for Smart connect. You probably have it set to pop up clock when either a) you plug in your charger, or b) a specific time period starts. Shut off smart connect or remove the reference to the clock app. Hope this helps.
