World Cup on the Note 3.....

For anyone who speaks spanish or who just wants to watch the live video, I'm watching the USA - Ghana match live now on Note 3 using the Univision Deportes app. I don't speak spanish but at least I can watch the match. The app allows you to choose English as a language for the written part of the app, but the audio part of the video is in spanish and the CC are only in spanish (unless I'm missing an option). Anyway, that's an option for those without other choices. Some of the other popular apps I tried gave me virus and malware alerts and I don't have watchESPN access.

Edit: Man, what a second half this has been! Let's see what happens in the last few minutes....

For WatchESPN you need a paid provider, yes.

For Univision Deportes, you do not. They are doing Group play matches for free. Knockout rounds will cost.

I haven't done any real looking, but I'm sure there will be ways to see those for free too.

A great match to watch. I am afraid we may have paid a lot for that win.

...also try BBC.CO.UK and ITV.co.uk who are streaming matches alternately. It may be only via their apps and restricted to region. I'm new to this.

Go USA. A draw against Ronaldo, I mean Portugal, would be great. With a win under the belt, still all to play for.:D

I blame you for saying the name that must not be spoken.

(I don't really blame you).

As a Scot (100% born n bred! :-)) ...the other day I was in an Irish pub for lunch with my husband whilst England were playing Uruguay. Everyone was cheering for England and when they got beaten I cheered ....and everyone looked at me like wtf?

All I said was "im scottish" and they just started laughing an shook their heads as though to say "fair enough!"

Yes in the scheme of things I should probably cheer for someone close to home ...but those scottish genes are hard to shut up! Haha

Haha. You're excused. :D

20 seconds left to a win for the USA. Dramatic.
If they don't get through with a win and a 2 - 2 draw, when England may have got through with 2 losses if Italy had won they're second match, the system can be unfair.
Go USA v.Germany, you'll need it!

Brilliant. Well done USA. Through to the 2nd round over Portugal! A goal more in the other matches made all the difference. Holding the mighty Germany to only 1- 0 is not a real defeat, it got you through. Portugal and Ghana were so close but needed more goals.

U S A ⚽🏆🆗
