Worried, please help

Also i downloaded the astro file manager and it doesn't even reconize that anythings in the rar file? Somethings not right with that it seems? Any insights?

I would do the extracting on your pc first then transfer the files to your sd card. OR Check this utility out. It can put xionia recovery on the phone for you.

Thanks I will check that out! I also just read a post on how someone rooted using gingerbreak (same as i did) and they installed this and they got the blank black screen. Should i worry about that? No one answered his post

You need to download a program to your pc to unzip the rar. I think its win7, but not sure. Just do a search on PC on rar files, but I am sure someone here can tell what that program is.

Always happy to help, hit that thanks button if I did!

If you can get ADB on your PC to work it will be easier. You can cut and paste commands from the Xionia instructions right into the ADB window and it works easy peasy

I can not agree more!
Copy & paste is your friend! Keeps you from making dumb mistakes, like a space where there should not be or a (,) where there should be a (.)!

I did my first rooting and thunderc recovery using terminal emulator. 2nd time around, using ADB with the PC was a whole lot faster. No typos!

Let us know how it goes.

I will let you know asap! I sadly don't think i'll be doing it tonight though because things came up, but i'll get back to you all. Thanks again for everyone's help.

Sorry to everyone who helped me understand this and awaited a response on how it went. I've been swamped with work, but I'm finally finding time to do this. Hopefully tomorrow afternoon. I do have a question though... Does anyone have an professional advice on this program called "e-z installer" that I keep reading about on the forum? Does it work? Lol, thanks everyone :-)

I just used it the other day on my buddy's Optimus s. Rooted and installed xionia Recovery. Worked perfect. ;)

That's awesome to hear!!! :D I'll prolly just do that then. Does anyone happen to know if it matters that i'm already rooted via Gingerbreak?

Edit: Also does it use the xioniaredux recovery or just the xionia? (I'm broke and can't afford another phone, lol)

If you are already rooted, then all you need to do is install a custom recovery. Xioniaredux is a Kernal, not a recovery. You will want to install xionia v1.2518.6 (which is what E-Z Installer has)
