No doubt about it with those screen on stats from two users the S4 battery hangs with the best of them and will last me all day without question. That is better than I got on my S3.

No because his statement is absurd. The S4 has almost twice the battery capacity. Add the fact no other statement was given along side that comment to back his findings I have good reason to call him out. And I'm sorry I am now trolling since I had to call someone out...ridiculous but whatever. Just close the thread anyways the op has since been back.

Battery life on average is too subjective unless you compare the same radios active, coverage area, app usage display settings, etc. If anything is troll fodder, it is the subjectivity of treating battery life comparisons as objective.

Managed to get that before it shut itself off. 6 hours of on screen time on the first charge cycle. That's almost in the Note 2 territory.

I think what they're saying without actually coming out and saying it (shame on you all, I told you not to troll), is that there might be something wrong with your device. If you charged three times in twelve hours then that means you're killing the battery in about four hours, which is significantly less than what most users are reporting. Even the screenshots above show five hours of screen on time. It might be worth looking into getting the device exchanged.

Any chance someone would charge the S4 to full and go post battery life with brightness set to MAX fora whole charge cycle, no auto brightness?
Honestly I don't understand how you guys even look at the screen running 40-50%. I am on iphone 5 AT&T LTE and my screen Stays on Max brightness and I get 18 hours easy.
Too bad I don't have a kick *** battery screen thing like android has to post as proof.
I'm asking for this because I am SOOOO torn between the beauty and the beast. (HTC One/S4) I WILL be getting one of these two devices in 14 more days... upgrade available then.

I have not had any battery issues thus far and I'm using it hard. I got 18 hours on first usage after a full charge with hard use.

The battery on my S4 is doing fine even with Apex Launcher using HTC Sense 5 Theme... My previous phone which I still have is a HTC One X and my NEW Samsung S4 battery lasts longer. it sounds like you have a bad battery with your S4 and if you haven't had it for long, trade your phone out with another one.

Please remember that battery life varies immensely depending on usage. Sure, if your on WiFi all day and/or have a microcell and have FULL SIGNAL your going to get better battery life than someone who talks on the phone a lot and is on the road or out in the boonies away from WiFi.

The point is that no 2 people use their device the same. I'm sure we will see a post from someone saying get through 2 days easily and another saying they can't make it to dinner. It depends heavily on usage.

Please don't return a phone because you saw a screenshot of someone else's usage, it's too varied.

Screen at max brightness in every situation would kill my eyes. I've found keeping it around 40% on most phones is fine for me in most scenarios.
