Worth it?

I have someone locally that wants to trade their nexus 4 16gb straight up for my white s3. Is this a good deal on my part? Thoughts?

It's all personal preference. I sold my white gs3 to get the nexus 4.

How new is the S3? If both are new the S3 is worth more. If you got the S3 when it launched in June of last year that is a good trade. Got mine in June of 2013 and sold it for $400 in January, which paid for my N4. You could always sell the S3 and buy the N4 from Google that way you have a warranty.

Just keep in mind 450 may or may not be possible. They go for 350 in my neck of the woods. Especially with the S4 on the horizon.

If you want to get top dollar sell it pretty fast before the S4 is announced at MWC later this month as LegalAmerican mentioned. You can probably sell to for over $400 depending on where you are at. Try craigslist.

It would not be a terrible deal to trade it for a Nexus 4, IMO. A 16GB is almost $400 with tax and shipping.

I would think eBay would get you at least 430 that's what I see them going for right now and that was with bids starting at .99
