Worth trading D2 for Incredible?

I was thinking about trying to trade my Droid 2 which is rooted and ROMed for a incredible on CL. Wanted to get some opinions on if it was worth it. I'd like to run cyanogen mod on it which I can't do with my D2. Thanks

Personally I would go with the dinc. Since you're rooted you know how valuable a dev community is...the dinc has a stronger back IMO

Why should I unroot it? I figured I'd give them the option if they wanted it stock or with a vanilla ROM I have on it now.

why wouldn't you trade for the Dinc, its a way better phone. I have a Dinc and a droid 2. Running the liberty ROM on the D2 makes the phone way better, but the Dinc dominates it in every way

I would get the incredible, unless you need the better battery life that the d2 has. but the benefits of the incredible are size is great, no slide out keyboard, the screen looks good, htc sense is good and there are lots of root options. downside is definitely the battery but you can keep a spare or get the extended

No question - go for the Dinc. I've had my Dinc since the spring and absolutely love it. Do look into buying an extended battery though. I have the Seidio 3500 extended battery and it flat out SOLVED all of my battery issues. Money well spent.

Personally, I'd stay with the Droid 2. I had the Incredible for about a week and swapped it out for a Droid 2. I really wanted to like the Incredible. Sense is really nice, but the reception and voice quality was miserable on the Incredible, which drove me away.

Your mileage may though, so good luck on whatever you decide!

I say the incredible hands down. The droid 2 is a good phone but I love the slimness of the Dinc. Also there is more roms and mods out for it. The battery is not that great but there is a 1750 mah out if you want the slimness or the 3500mah with extended cover.

have to chime in and agree.. the Dinc is a amazing device. Unless u need a keyboard then I would def go with that.. at least u get to say you have used both Blur and Sense for longer periods of time and make a informed choice when new devices hit.

*one last thing i forgot, call quality can be.. questionable, on the incredible, sometimes. I don't know about the d2, but the droid x definitely has better call quality than the incredible. I think the fascinate also does.

but it's never so bad that it's unusable, just notice sometimes it sounds like i'm out in the wind when i'm not, and have been told by people on the other line that it sounds like that, as well. but this is not an every-call occurrence.

I haven't experienced any call quality issues on my Incredible either. I've owned both phones, and I don't recall any discernible differences. Although, I noticed the Droid 2 and Droid X seem to have a wider bluetooth range. I can travel far from either of those devices, and still hold a crystal clear reception, where as my Incredible would start to take on static if moved more than 10-15 feet away.

*Maybe i had a bad handset. i recently lost it, and got a new one thru insurance, and the call quality has def been better since.
