I've owned most of the flagships this year and sold them all except for the m8. Looking forward to whatever HTC comes up with for the next generation.

Over the current phones out now (Note 4, Nexus 6, Z3 and moto X.) No but if I was selecting vs last years phones I'd still buy the M8

I recently sold my m8. My only wish for the phone was a bigger screen due to the on screen buttons. Other than that the phone was as good as it gets. The camera is fantastic if you mainly take macro shots and other objects/people that aren't too far away. I owned a galaxy s5 before and honestly the whole ISOCELL fad was a load of rubbish. Its camera struggled in anything other than a sunny day and was plain awful in indoor situations

I'd buy it twice. It suits my needs perfectly. And if I want great studio quality pictures, I'm going to be using a regular dedicated camera.

Absolutely yes. In fact buying one for the wife tomorrow. I will pick up an M9 the day it comes out.
Regarding the camera, I use the HDR setting a lot and am very impressed with the pictures.

Photos are clear and crispy. Lacks when you want to zoom in, but if your into photography, buy a camera. You want a great overall smartphone, M8 baby!

The best phone I've owned. The camera could be better though but it doesn't affect my day to day usage in any way . I'm not much of a smartphone photog. I bought it for the beautiful design, the speaker and general sound quality and that beautiful screen coupled with the snappy UI. The battery is great but could be improved in the M9 or whatever they choose to call it next year.
It's the best design smartphone for 2014 and I will buy again.

Yes, I would buy it again. In fact, I now consider myself HTC spoiled and will just update to the newest model every year or two like Apple people do with their iPhones. That's provided HTC stays in business long enough to put out several more.

The camera is okay. I like it better than Moto cameras. Put a great camera on this phone, and take my money please!

My answer is YES!

Personally, I love the phone! Great screen, great sound, great functionality!

As for the camera, I personally have had absolutely no problems with taking pictures, and so far all of the pictures I have taken with the camera on the M8 have turned out great!

Only other phones I would consider right now are the iPhone 6 and Sony Z3c. So, if your in the states and want android, the One M8 would be my choice.

Bit of a mute question really. I switched from iPhone to M8 because iPhone no longer has that "wow" factor. The camera takes great pics for my needs. The 6 is just another Samsung S5 bland thing with an afterthought stuck on lenses on the back - tck tck Apple! I like Apple UI still but is that only because I've been using it for years. I'll stick with this "wow factor" M8 till I need to change & see what's on the market then. If NOTHING changes then hell, yeah, I'll get another M8.

Completely destroyed my uninsured M8 recently and had to buy a new phone. Didn't even have to think twice about getting another.

I completely agree, that this is the best smartphone I have owned. It is fast, responsive, great sound, has a great screen, and actually takes good pictures too.

Love the M8 premium body HTC sense is clean and sharp. Not the best camera but acceptable. With M9 and lollipop coming cannot wait.
