Would you buy again?

Now the LG G3 has been out for a while I was wondering if owners of the phone would buy it again or would have gone for a different device?

Only reason I am asking is I am in the process of selling my Galaxy note 3 due to it having some kind of battery issue brought around by android 4.4.2 and the G3 is the only other device in my price range that i'm considering due to its screen size. I've previously owned an m8 and s5 but found that I prefer bigger screen phones.

Anyones thoughts are appreciated :)

Yes I definitely would buy it again. LG has a winner here. I've had mine since the day they came out. The screen is awesome and I don't get the lag I've heard about. The camera is great. I have grown to prefer the rear button placement over the traditional side placement. I did have an issue with overheating but in my case the battery was the culprit. I find myself trying to knock-on other devices now out of habit, lol.

I had considered the Nexus 6 but decided against it. Sticking with my G3.

♻Positivity!

At the moment, yes I would. But I've only had mine for less than 2 months and still getting in about the lollipop update.
I like to have new features or at least some change when I get a new phone so in a about a year and a halfs time there may be a new device that tickles me. That may be the G4 or something else

But at the moment I hVe no regrets on my purchase.

Yes I'd buy again. I can't think of any phones out there right now that are an obvious and substantial improvement on what LG achieved in the G3 all those months ago. Also, at least in the UK, it's now available at surprisingly affordable prices, considering its spec.

I can't think of any other phone I would prefer. I keep seeing nice phones being announced/released but they just have too much bezel. My max size is 147mmx75mm and a lot of 5.5" screened phones are over that number. If they somehow manage to get it right, they lack the removable battery and sd-card slot.

I would not. I traded in my Note 3 for it, and I've missed my Note since the moment that new phone smell started to fade a couple weeks in. Having seen what Samsung did with the Note 4, I've kicked myself a few times for not waiting.

I can't point to any one particular thing that makes me answer the way I do, but overall I've just been very 'meh' about this phone. In particular, I've got a yellow edge (leaked glue I presume) on the left hand side of the my screen and I've suffered more app crashes and freezes with this phone than any other I can remember having. I just have a general sense of disappointment with my G3.

On the other hand, my wife loves hers and I don't think she has a single complaint.

I'll miss tap on and the buttons on the back though when I do move on. I do really like the form factor.

Thanks for all your honesty people. Think its the battery life with the G3 that concerns me the most with that QHD screen. I honestly have no complaints about my Note 3 other than the crazy battery issues ive been having (I ended up coming back to this after owning one previously and moving on the S5, Z2 and M8) but its come to a point that i cant see the point of owning a phone that won't even get me through a normal day. Think ive got some serious thinking to do

100% feel the same way!....except for my max size....I'm still up in the air as to what is acceptable and what is not. As long as I can carry it 'COMFORTABLY' in my pants pocket, its acceptable I suppose, lol! :)

Before I bought I'd read about people saying it wouldn't fit in pockets. I thought they were being ridiculous and after I got it and saw it fitted into my trousers no problem.

However when bending down or climbing up into my attic I have to take phone out of pocket as it restricts my leg movement and I'm worried I'll bend it too much!!

I never noticed that with my nexus or teeny weeny iphones

The HTC M8 is a 5.0" screen and it's the same height as the G3! Ridiculous. And the iPhone 6 Plus, don't even get me started on that behemoth.

Absolutely, im actually concerned that i might not find a phone as good as this, next time i upgrade. But if it broke right now, i would go out and buy it again.

Absolutely! The note 4 is certainly a cool device to upgrade to but I'd go with the LG. It's easy to Root and you can get rid of all carrier, google and LG crapware with no problems. I have mine for a few weeks now and I'm loving it! Tweaked it and made it truly mine. Gonna keep that for a while for sure!

I did buy it again.
Saw the Verizon Red and had to have it.
Just not seeing anything out there that I would rather have.
Now this could change in the upcoming months but for now, I'm good.

Only had mine a couple of weeks, but I was in the same position you were before I got it. Great devices out right now so I know having to decide is pretty agonizing having just come off the same experience myself. I considered the Note 4 too but after playing with my sister in laws for a while during the holidays as well as my brothers G3 I finally decided the Note 4 was just a little too big. Went ahead with the G3 and so far do not regret it a bit. Generous screen real estate without having an overall bulky device just fits the bill for me. I'd definitely make the same decision at this point.

So far I'd say yes. I've only had mine a few weeks now, and I'm not getting the skinned OS experience LG intended cause I flashed a custom ROM, but the form factor and hardware features like rear buttons are a definite win for me. Could I be tempted by a note 4 or Nexus 6 at some point? Possibly. But for now I'm very happy!

I have the G2 and was dying to get my hands on the G3. I pulled the trigger and got one. I was concerned with the stories I'd heard about battery life, so I bought a 3950 mAh battery, which still fits under the stock backing plate. Then I bought a wireless charging back plate. I have not been disappointed. No regrets.

I would indeed buy it again. There is nothing on the current market that even peaks my interest. The rumored super phone supposedly coming from Verizon has an eyebrow up, but it is only a rumor at this point. The only negative mark I would give the G3 is the "screen on" battery drain. Outside of that, I have absolutely no complaints. I'm not a heavy user, so I can get away with what the battery gives me. I'm running stock with Nova on top.

What is the model of the battery?
