Would you give up your Nexus 4?

If someone gave me a free Optimus G Pro then maybe. Otherwise I'll wait for the next Nexus.

Same here, would not like to trade for anything else than the next Nexus. I would enjoy a bigger screen though... Upgrading from 3.7'' to 4.7'' made me realize how big screens can be so nice, and I'd like to venture into the 5'' region - would still need to be able to fit in my pocket..

Only for a replacement N4. Mine overheats like a mofo and my charger makes some funky clicking noises when charging the phone.

The S IV and the HTC One will cost roughly double what the Nexus 4 costs. Even if I got all of my $ back by selling my N4, I would still have to come out of my pocket with another $400. I'm going to keep my N4 and see what N5 is and costs

Exactly. It will take another four months to save up enough money to buy one of those phones. I'll keep my $300 nexus.

No Samsung or HTC for me. Just nexus. If they keep the price low I will buy a nexus every year.

Only if Apple comes out with a similar size iPhone that's jailbreakable. Been with iPhone for 3+ years and I was so disappointed when the girly sized iPhone 5 came out. I can type perfectly fine with one hand on my N4 but my wife can't. So yeah, girly sized iPhone.

I do like the N4. Been using it for about a month now. Rooted and Unlocked so I can get similar customizations like I did with my iPhone 4. But there are kinks and quirks that I find to be quite annoying.
*First and foremost, no audio out from USB. Yes, there are ways around it but it's neither elegant (AUX cable sticking out the top) nor efficient (BT audio lacks the quality I want).
*1 x 1 widgets that don't have a name on the bottom of the icon doesn't line up with the rest of the 'normal' icons.
*Widgets can't be placed in the lowest row (I donno what that's called... the tray?).
*The loud speaker is muffled when placed faced up (who places their phone face down anyway?). It's awkward to not have a button on the front to wake the phone. Why do I need to set a password/pattern lock when I have VPN programmed? Would be much easier to just enable the lock when I use my VPN.
*There should be an option to remove the Google bar at the top and add another row of icons. Yes, I can use a custom loader but why lock us out like this from the beginning? I guess it's a Google phone that's why.
*I would of bought a 32GB version if they had it. My music is taken up 8GB already and my GPS app (AutoNavi) is about 1GB.
*Why do the music player have to stretch my album art?
*Terrible international support for the Music Player. A lot of the songs that have Chinese mp3 tags doesn't display correctly. My computer and all my iPhones never had a problem with this. I downloaded a Chinese Music Downloader program (the player in it sucks) and it displayed all the tags correctly so it's not the phone but the music app itself. I tried other music apps but it's all the same.
*Keyboard switching should be a lot more easier and less steps.
*The auto brightness could be improved. It's too "sensitive" I think. It changes brightness very easily. It's not much but it's noticeable that you can see the screen dimming and brightening rapidly. It sometimes feels like the screen back light has a bad connection or something. There are others but I'll stop here.

The iPhone, of course, has it's own kinks and quarks but a lot are actually fixable/improved though jailbreak tweaks. I'm sure I'll find some tweaks to fix some of the problems above and hopefully I will get to like it as much as my iPhone.

If it would bring back my late friend Jackie whilst simultaneously eliminating all her medical problems and allow her to be happy, then yes, I would gladly give up my Nexus 4.

Short of that... I don't think so. No, I don't think so at all. ;)

O_O

Not a chance. Just got my N4 on contract two weeks ago and bought a N7 last week. I can't imagine using anything else for a long time now.

Nope. Sold my GS3 for my nexus 4 and am loving it. Will be ordering my orb next week and gonna theme the hell outta this. Screen size is perfect. I'm sure the gs4 will be crazy nice but I think I like faster updates and vanilla better

I am probably going to sell my nexus 4 and get the HTC one...

I love the UI and that SEXY camera... I'd also love the battery life that'd allow me to actually use Google now. Unlike my nexus. Which has a horrible camera and battery...

Come to think of it.. Battery and Camera is the only reason I want to switch..

I will deff miss my nexus and the stock ui IF I switch (depends if I get the cash to buy off contract)

The HTC one one looks nice but the only feature I would really want it for is the ir sensor, but that's pretty minor, besides that my Nexus does everything I want it to. The new galaxy and HTC one will cost way more than this so I'm happy with my Nexus. :)

No I'm not interested in the Xperia Z, HTC One or the Galaxy S4. I'm sure they'll be nice phones, but I've really gotten used to stock android and I love it. Plus, knowing I'll get updates immediately as they're out is very comforting.

There is no way I would give up my nexus for the htc one, but we will have to see what the sgs4 has in store, although I seriously doubt that samsung will have any new irresistible features that would make me give up vanilla android

Nope. Samsung and carrier devices won't be getting updates anywhere near as fast. Sure, they get their out of box update, but after that its 3-6 months late for Samsung and never for carrier devices. I actually enjoy the new features like Google Now and Butter much more than any marginal increase in performance those newer devices may have. I look forward to Key Lime Pie and Roadrunner.
