Would you switch to the iPhone?

Nexus owners, my question is this: If Sprint carried it, would you consider switching to the iPhone for your next upgrade?

I really love my Nexus S 4G, but if Sprint carried the iPhone, I would at least consider it. It has never really been an option for me before, but I heard an (extremely unverified) rumor, that Sprint will be getting the iPhone in the next year or so. I'm not set on switching, and I have very little, if any, "iPhone envy", but I would play with it, and decide if I wanted to switch based on Sprint's Android offering at the time.

What about you?

I have had an iphone before and I will never go back. Too boring of an os.

No. I have one. It's fun for games and great for music. It's terrible as a communications device. A phone is a communications device first and foremost.

Probably not. If anything, you can make Android look like iOS and even WP7 if you wanted. I know the appeal of having the "best" games and "best" music player is there, but all the apps I've found on the Market and off do most of the same things.

No. I was never impressed with them as phones. I'd take one as a second/backup device but I wouldn't spend my own money on one as a primary.

I also don't see the point in using any of these as dedicated music devices either. It's nice to have the music there and readily available, but I also go to dedicated PMP's first.

No.. I switched from a iPhone 3GS to a HTC inspire 4G. With 32gb card. This thing blows away the iPhone by far. And I'm looking to root this phone. Not sure how yet, but ill figure it out.. :)

HTC Inspire HD.

Nope, never would consider an apple product.

Nope you will have to pry this NS4G from my cold dead hands.

Nope, just the inspire.. thanks anyway.

HTC Inspire HD.
Nope! My girlfriend has had an iPhone for a long time and I've had plenty of chances to play around with it and like my NS4G way more. I'm likely going Pure Android for a long time!

There really isn't anything that the iPhone could offer that I don't already have in my Nexus. Android is a better OS and the Nexus is a better phone than the current iPhone 4. Who knows what the next iPhone will be, but from what I have seen from IOS 5, the OS isn't going to be on par with Gingerbread. Plus, the voice commands aren't in the same league, no NFC, no Google music, no free tethering, no free GPS, and no Google integration. I wouldn't even consider it.

Honestly? I'm undecided, I picked up an iPad 2 a couple weeks ago and so far I really like it. I switched to android from webos when the evo came out and I've missed it ever since. So I probably would switch if sprint got the iPhone.

I think you summed up my opinion better then the more hardcore android fans. I'm also a former Webos user, and yeah, I miss it. I don't miss the slow app load times or the tiny app catalog, but I do miss the UI polish and cards.

With that said, the main draw for the iPhone for me, would be the iPad. I don't really like what I'm seeing from honeycomb, and I really would want my phone to use the same OS as my tablet.

Still rooting for Android, but you never know what the future holds for me. I'm sort of a smart phone playa'. PalmOS to WinMo to Blackberry to WebOS to Android to iOS?.

For those of us who have owned an iPhone before, there is a lot less to be desired there. If you have never owned an iPhone I guess it is worth trying out.

No thanks. I'd prefer a phone that's not behind the curve when it comes out...

From Nexus with love
