Would you trade your Thunderbolt for the Sensation?

Nope...
1. not on Verizion
2. Does not have LTE
3. No kickstand
4. Thunderbolt just sounds so much more badarse...

Let me see if I've got this straight... you wanna know if I'd trade my 4G/LTE 4.3" ThunderBolt on Verizon for a phone that is:
-Not on VZW
-Not 4G/LTE
-Not available for purchase in the United States

Uhh... no?

I got the impression that we were pretending that this was a Verizon phone and I guess, by default, an LTE phone.

I guess we could approach it that way. But... if we're talking about a dream phone, the sky's the limit. Oh wait, we've got the phone after that! :D

I would trade up for it. It will definitly be a better phone. But I am totally happy with the thunderbolt and wont heartbroken to not have the sensation.

my wife and i've had out Tbolts for 5 days and our decision was based on the following, all relevant to this thread:

1) Any phone we have has gotta be Verizon (we live on the Oregon Coast. Excellent 3g Verizon coverage, all others fair-poor.)

2) Up to last Wednesday I was a samsung winMob guy, samsung makes great hardware...BUT... when we played with the MotoBlur, TouchWhiz, and HTC Sense... in our opinion SENSE RULED !!

3) SuperAmoled screen was pretty (vibrant=fuji film). WVGA on the Tbolt was pretty (lifelike=kodak film). Both get the message accross, just differently, and both pleasant.

4) Got the extended battery so no worries

A better question would be:

Would you like it if your Thunderbolt was dual-core 1.2gHz, with Sense 3.0?

Everyone's answer:

"Of course."

Comparing phones from one network to the other just doesn't work. Sure, I'd like the data speeds the Thunderbolt gets, I'd love for my phones to be faster, but trading a T-Mobile phone for a Verizon phone isn't something you see every day. The Thunderbolt is the best phone on Verizon, and like previously mentioned in the thread, purchase your phones for their network, not for the device itself.

What's the best phone on Verizon? Thunderbolt.
What's the best phone on T-Mobile? The upcoming Sensation.
That doesn't mean the next phone for someone else isn't going to top BOTH of them. That's progression.

Came over from an iphone4 and ATT. I am done switching for a while. Besides, my TBolt is just fine thank you very much. Only think I would want is the iphone 4 mail app interface, but Moxier Mail is growing on me.

but android wont be optimized for dual cores for a while.

So would trade your Thunderbolt for the Sensation?

Actually that's incorrect. FroYo doesn't offer support for dual cores but Gingerbread and on does. Also would I trade my current phone in for one with superior hardware? Yes but I'm not made of money and am happy with my current phone.

I'm sure anyone would trade in their phone for an upgrades, faster, more feature-packed version if they could for free. But if Verizon got the Sensation, I doubt they would let anyone upgrade w/o paying retail

If the Nexus S was on vzw i would Trade the bolt in for that

I think the Sensation is a better name but here I go.

1.Sensation rocks the unibody like no other.
2.I hear T-Mobile 4g kicks ass in Omaha
3.This baby is streamlining at its best
4.Sense 3.0
5.The specs on this phone are beyond amazing.
6.The Thunderbolt as much as i love it was definitely rushed(no dual core and sense 2.0)
7.This baby ships with gingerbread.
8.Definitely future proof
9.Should have Skype, Netflix, and should get ice cream sandwich soon after.
10.Most likely will get Android J, and K.
11.HTC Trace
12.HTC Watch
13.Full 1080p video capture.
14.30 fPS video play back and capture

Kickstand would have been nice though
