Wow a Verizon employee actually recommended the Nexus

Verizon must be like really on Motorolas Products big time. They make these crazy sick commericals for these Razers and all that and then make corney commercials for the Nexus. There mistaken big time but I think they make more money off of Motorola maybe compared to Samsung?

I had the Razr for about a month and when the GN came out, I went back and exchanged it for the GN. The girl who helped thought it was a smart choice. Then immediately asked me if I'd thought about an iphone :D

Girls tend to like the iPhone the most, Especially the white iPhones.

If they make more money on Moto is has to be because of the "Droid" brand and the VZW apps they throw on there.

Call me crazy, but I actually like the Galaxy Nexus commercials better than the DROID! ROBOT! SUPERTESTOSTERONEMAN! commercials that Verizon produces for the Droid line.

I mean, I think more people are going to relate to this:

Then again, I believe this is produced by Google and not Samsung or Verizon.

This was totally produced by Google. I'm with you man, even though watching a RAZR blast through a cake is awesome....showing one of those little moments that families share is definitely going to hit home far more than exploding cake could ever do. :)

They guy at my store kept talking about how he really likes the Galaxy Nexus, how it looks so nice, and is light weight.. and how he was wanted to upgrade to it.

I am not sure what Verizon's stance on the Nexus but two different employees at two different stores tried to talk me out of buying one.

I went to Verizon today to buy a new phone. I was pretty set on getting the GN but just to see what the employee who helped me would say, I asked him about the Rezound and the iPhone. He quickly told me there was no other phone that could compare to the GN and to absolutely get it. He said the iPhone to him was a thing of the past and I would be foolish to pass up on the GN. I bought it of course and couldn't be happier with it.

What do you guys this think? I read some reports that the GN can be flashed to Sprint's network because the device supports the same bands Sprint uses. The girl at "tech support" just told me no, but couldn't explain why...even after I had mentioned the fact that it supports their frequencies. Thoughts?

No one questioned why the OP would need another phone. If you have a GN, why would you need (or want) a Razr? If you also knew your wife was getting you a Razr, how is that a surprise? I have read how some people get an extra line for the upgrades, but I see no sense in this. If she wants to surprise you, buy something else besides a phone. Of course, if someone bought me a phone, knowing I just bought a GN, I would certainly be surprised. :p

I am by no means anti-Nexus. But the fact that a Verizon Employee recommended it is not necessarily a good thing. In my experience most of them are kinda brain dead about smartphones. They know the propaganda and little else (and sometimes not even that).
