Wow, Samsung/Google should be embarrassed!

Definitely a couple minor bugs but nothing that wold make me return the device.

Came from a Droid Incredible 2 and it was a great phone but again with minor bugs here and there.

I also have been complimented on how loud and clear I am to people that I talk to when using the phone.

I haven't had a single Android device that is bug free.

I jumped for this phone in December because I had stock android on my first phone and wanted vanilla android..on my next one. I am happy. If I want to change the UI I can always do that by installing various launchers but at least I am the one choosing what I want.

So far no issues with the phone. I have good 4G signal, no dropped calls, Good battery life given my usage patterns, and I've had one reboot early one but none after that.

Like any software that is version x.0 there are going to be problems and issues to resolve so I am hoping for even better performance in the future.

I never drop data.

In call voice quality is very good.

Speakerphone voice quality is complete garbage on both of the Sammies

All phones are going to have quirks and downsides.

I loved my Incredible but you couldn't use it in the sunlight. How awful was that and we put up with it for 2 years almost.

I find it simply laughable when people spout what a VZW rep has told them.

My Nexus works fine. It also has something no other phone has right now, ICS. By the time your Maxx receives BLURSCREAM, mine will be receiving Jelly Bean. :)

I have heard the same thing but from a Verizon manager I know. She also said the galaxy nexus has been a nightmare for them, that they get a lot of returns because of problems. I've had 3 galaxy nexus phones and all have had the mic cut out, random reboots, the last one I had, had the static on phone calls issue but my first one and third one do not. Anyway this phone has problems and no one knows when it's going to be fixed.

I talked to 6 different customer reps on the phone, and they all claim that barely anyone needs to return/replace it. Same with the 3 local stores. I have a feeling the truth is somewhere in the middle.

All phones have issues.

Sounds like bad luck to me. Mine has been flawless minus a few bugs. But the 4.0.4 from I have eliminated all that. Works so well my mom got one. She use to have an iPhone 3G so it was really time to upgrade. Big screen is what drew her in. Our phones get excellent reception and call quality is loud and clear. Neither of our phones have bad screens or bad 4G connection. "It just works".

If you're buying a Galaxy Nexus for any other reason than you want to mess around with it (root, rom, radios, volume hacks, etc), you bought the wrong phone.

Completely disagree, this phone is by far the best phone out IMO without rooting or custom roms. 100% stock this phone is amazing and a pleasure to use. I cant put this phone down and couldnt be more impressed with the stock features, i reccomend this phone to everyone, even if you dont root, flash roms this phone is amazing. Just my opinion.

Got mine 12-15-11 and have had squelching, and microphone drop since day one. The sales reps at the Verizon store told me to wait for the 4.0.3 update to fix, the two verizon tech support follks said the same. I called support one more time and they called Samsung and sent me a new phone. For 3 days I have had no problems. Hope it keeps up.
I love this phone,.... except for the phone part.

No issues with the phone here, and that includes calling cross-country.
I wonder why there is such a disparity?

Areas that ppl spend most of their time in, so so quality control, testing. I think quality control, testing is lacking across the board for all phones.

I dont know what some ppl's idea of a bad reception area is....but I rarely saw/see over 25Mbps down on speed tests when I had the G Nex, on my RAZR and Rezound in my general hang out area. I see posts of ppl hitting 35mbps, 45mbps and consider them lucky.

Where I live n work I barely get over 10Mbps down on speed tests. I average more like 5mbps - 8mbps. In my apt I'm lucky to even see 4G.

Would have to say the galaxy nexus is a nice phone. great display, decent camera but it has its issues just like any other phone. Signal strength is good but it's not quite as good as the droid razr just being honest. To me this is the only bad thing about this phone its good in town but when u get out in the sticks is where it falls off. But over all i love the phone and think its the best choice on vzw. Stock android is so much better then blur sence ext dont think samsung or Google should not be embarrassed

I guess it really is quality control, there are so many people with problems but also so many that say there's is perfect. :/ All I know is I have had 3 brand new one's, was still with in the 14 days when I swapped mine out. They all had problems so idk hope the update comes soon.

I haven't had any issues with calling. Now I did have problems with the calendar, but a factory reset seems to have cured all those problems.

Don't get me wrong, I love ICS and the Smart Features of this phone! BUT...the features that matters the most, making phone calls SUCKS! I feel like I'm back in the BB days of having to do a battery pull at least once a day (or more) just to make a phone call that is clear without Snap Krackle and Pop or pure Static or being muted. WTF!!! I have a strong suspicion it has to do with the NFC antenna being attached to the battery and needing to re-sync but I'm not sure. Anybody know if that would cause it or is the code for these radios just that bad?

I got 2 of these phones in december. I'm not here to bash Samsung but both of my phones have dropped calls and other issues from the day I picked them up. One of them was replaced one week later. Last month I went to a car show. I took some pictures with my phone. A friend ask me to send them the pictures. I tried to MMS them for three hours. I called verizon and told all the things the phone was doing. The tech support person said we have not had calls from customers that own the NEXUS. So I logged every dropped call and issues with both phones. Verzon called me back telling me they could see the phones were dropping calls and etc. They said they are aware of the issues and it was the sofware on the nexus. I asked about the new update would it fix the issues. They said I hope it does. I told them I had enough. Fix or give me a phone that works.

I went through four of these phones they all had the issue with the mic cutting out. I've seen others that have data connectivity issues although I never did. Every time I called tech support they act shocked and said they haven't heard of any issues this has to be BS. Anyhow I was forced to goto the razr maxx since I need my phone to work as a phone. I can say though I miss everything else about my Nexus, Motorola is so boring. Once the issues get fixed I most likely will go back to the Nexus but couldn't wait for an update when I'm dropping 3 calls a day with clients because the mic is cutting out.
