wrist gestures stopped working?

So this was fine - maybe even too sensitive for a while when I got the watch. Must be a recent android wear update, but now it is very difficult (borderline impossible) to get the watch face to light-up by raising my wrist (or turning my wrist, etc.). Used to be that it was pretty consistent that it somehow knew when I was raising my wrist to look at the watch, it would light-up. Even was a bit annoying when driving the car it would happen so often. Now I can't reliably "wake" the watch except by pressing the crown.

I checked, and the setting is definately enabled (Wrist Gestures is ON and Always On Screen is ON). Just doesn't seem to react.

I would love there to be some kind of "sensitivity setting" for this, but I haven't heard of it.

Anyone else seeing this problem? Any ideas to try and "fix it"?

I restarted the watch and the function went back to normal. Must have been caused by the latest system update.

Yup. That worked. Should've tried that in the first place. Thanks for responding.
