The bezel on my S4 cracked. I haven't dropped it (dropped it ages ago, but this morning the bezel is cracked). Is there anything I can do?

I've only had this three months and then they'll probably give me a reconditioned phone. Sounds like a bad deal to me

Reconditioned probably isn't so bad. Any I've ever received were cosmetically brand new.

Reconditioned phones are usually checked over better than new phones in most cases

It's a hairline-like crack above the speaker grille. I'd grab a picture but don't really have a camera powerful enough to show you (my point and shoot's not here and the only other camera that could pick it up is the S4's). Have now purchased a case

Hi! :( My Samsung S4 suddenly sported a crack near the power button earlier last week. Never dropped it or anything. The crack just appeared out of nowhere and it extends to the area covered by the back panel. I'm on the AC app, can't upload a pic.

I brought it to a Samsung service center, because it's still under parts and service warranty, but they won't replace the bezel unless I pay $39 for it. They said it's because the damage is only cosmetic. They basically said that it doesn't really matter if the thing cracked on its own; it's cosmetic, and they can't and won't cover it.

I was SEETHING. Know any good argument I could make for them to cover it? I really don't want to pay for something the hardware did on its own. -_-*

It presents a potential path for moisture entry into your phone. Even if that moisture entry hasn't happened yet, the designed environmental protection of your phone has already been compromised. That is definitely more than cosmetic.

I told them that. But they were like, "Unless the crack has caused something to go wrong, we still can't/won't cover it."

I told them that's b*llsh*t.
