Xionia Goodies (Optimus V Edition)

v013 works on my V so far, since yesterday. Haven't tried new recovery. Swype has died a couple times (force close) but that could be due to my own messing with the phone systems.

When you say that it works on your V, is that with or without the swapped home/menu keys? I would prefer a "native" (i.e., no swap) V kernel.

I am currently stuck on a recovery loop with clockworkmod's rom manager v3.2 on my Optimus V after foolishly trying to use LG's factory reset. I read that Xionia's recovery can help me out of the loop. Any suggestions on how to install this Xionia's recovery while in the recovery loop? Or how to get out of it, in general?

Why is the Virgin kernel a .rar? Every other one is a .zip.
It's a different type, but it doesn't matter, the file is no longer there, and it didn't work as expected.
The recovery however works fantastic.

If you can boot the rom you can flash through terminal emulator, which is quite easy actually and my preferred way of flashing recoveries.

Recovery is here:
xionia_cwma_12518.4_virgin.rar

Guide to flashing from inside the rom is here:

Otherwise check the sticky, Marzz has a few things in the faq that can help as well as last ditch effort ideas.

this post by zefie helped me out of the factory-reset bootloop madness. the pertinent how-to part is in the last two paragraphs of the post.
uses adb while connected to pc, you have to send the command line right before the recovery starts its formatting. may take several tries to send it while the phone will connect with adb, there isn't a lot of time during each loop while it'll accept input.

I just rebooted after installing gapps-gb-20110613-signed.zip and aospCMod-VM670-20110601-CAMFIX.zip on Xionia, and now my phone is stuck on the Android logo. It's not flashing across the letters, it's just stuck there.

Did you flash, reboot, then flash again, or did you do it all at once (bad idea, start over).

I am working on installing a later version of this to get my phone out of a boot loop and I am having one hell of a time getting it to cooperate with me, at one point it tells me to enter "cat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_image" through adb and I get a message stating /sbin/sh: can't create /system/bin/flash_image: nonexistent directory. I have been searching Google but can't really seem to find much of anything. If someone knows what would be something I need to do or if I am just SOL on this please hit me up or direct me where I have missed looking please.
