Xoom for outdoor use?

I have been looking through all the forums and on youtube and can't find any reviews for how the screen does outdoors.

Can you sit on a bench out in sunlight and use the xoom?

How well does it work if you are in the shade?

Main reason I am asking is that I am the stat keeper for a travel baseball team and I would like to be able to use the iscore app to keep stats up to date through the year without having to write it all out at the games, then go home and enter everything into a computer. I was originally planning on going with an Ipad2 but after getting a droid x a few days ago and having so much fun customizing it and realizing just what android can do I would really rather go with the xoom.

When I use mine outside I have to turn the brightness all the way up to get a decent view on the xoom. I could imagine with a glare reducing screen protector it would be pretty decent.

Yep. Its pretty hard to view outside.
