Every time you power on the Xoom, it checks for updates.
I was about to post that. Beat me to it. I am not sure why I am so anxious for the update. It is not really giving us much. The big change will be Flash on the 18th.

If your didn't get it yet, chill. We aren't missing anything by not having this update. We will all get it. No Flash until the 18th anyways.
I purposely restarted my Xoom last night, but the Status page still showed the last update was 10 hours earlier. If it checks each time you power it up, it's apparently not consistent in sharing the updated time with us via the status screen...Every time you power on the Xoom, it checks for updates.
Thanks... but I'll just leave the date and wait for the upgrade.you can force it to check for update by changing the date
See my earlier post upstream in this thread... the system seems to check approximately every 12 hours. How often does the system check for updates? I've rebooted and the time doesn't change. I'm back to stock and locked with Moto's source files.
I'm always giddy for updates even when there's nothing you'll really notice hehe.
got that, but looking for the patch to see if we can figure a manual patching solution that might be clockwork flashable after a lil work![]()

That's new to me. What is it? (I mean, I know what it is, but what is it?)
I have 2 xooms here - no update so far that I can see. How would you know if you have been updated?
It will prompt you to install now or later.
