My friend has just got an xperia sp phone for which he wants to get a 32gb micro sd card, but the micro sd card he has removed from his old Galaxy S phone apparently won't go in it - can someone advise, what SD card does he need?

Lastly he downloaded some music onto his phone that he wants to use as individual ring tones, but can't see how to do it, we have tried:-

1. Changing the ring tone directly from the contacts card, they don't show up.

2. Finding the music from both the Walkman & the Google Play apps, we can't see how it can be done from there.

3. From the Android Files folder and seeing the music from there.

None of these steps has been a success  I don't have this handset myself, but I know how to Navagate around Android, as I have an Galaxy S3.

Can anyone help, it would be very much appreciated! :D

Thank you!

To find music on the SDcard you can use Es File explorer Go to your SDcard, select a piece of music, and long-press it. Use the "open as" dialog to choose Walkman or another player. This, however will not let walkman show the rest of what's on there... You can also use a different player, like VLC, which may look kind of tame and lackluster, but is actually one of the best jacks-of-trades player, and it sports folder browsing. On my Xperia ZL, it even decodes DTS on the phone with stutter-free MKV playback.

Now that said, Walkman can be nice for album covers and other details, so, here's how to deal with the problem the way I did it:

- Don't use the default "music" folder to store your music. Create a folder called "main music folder", on your SDcard. Create 1 folder named "main playlist folder" on your phones' onboard storage.

- All music gets stored in sub-folders named for every album, and every playlist you want to have. Doing it this way has the merit of being simple and easy to manage. It is preferable to have dupe files, than to build playlist mixing content from different folders, that way, you can delete a playlist, then the corresponding album folder. Doing it this way ensure that deleting a son or folder doesn't affect and break other playlists.

- Once you have your music folders organized; download and use My playlist maker Free. Select you playlist folder and your "Main music folder", and add file types if required, Tick the subdirectories box, then generate the lists.

- Once the lists are generated, use ES file explorer to browse to your playlist folder, long press anyone of the playlists in there, select "open as", with Walkman. Walkman will then add the rest of the playlists and find your tunes.

Cheers.
