xperia z compact hdmi connection

My xperia shuts down when connected to a hdmi cable any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! Does it shut down, or does the screen just turn off while it's being mirrored on the TV?

No it completely shuts down.. Ive done whole connection to the charger and the fone thing but it seems to be when the charger is connected that ls when it shuts down

After its shut down It doesn't turn back on unless I do the power and volume button thing..

Sounds like a hardware defect. Is the phone still under warranty? If so, contact Sony. I suppose you could try a different HDMI cable, but I doubt that would help.
