Xperia Z2: I want to try this phone....

The topic had literally been mentioned in just about every thread lol. Also I'm not sure if you're aware but the phone is only made to record a few minutes of 4k at a time. It will just overheat at a certain point. So you'll only be recording short short 4k videos.

Re: I want to try this phone....

I'm still using my Note 2 and was thinking of making a switch this year. The Z2 was near the top of my list but everything I read about it points to there being only 16GB internal storage. The inability to store apps on a MicroSD being long gone means 16GB seems way too small, especially given that a chunk of it will be used up straight away for Android.

Any chances of there being a model with more storage? At this stage it looks like the new HTC One might be my final choice, but I much prefer the Z2 except for this issue.

Yea I how they release it in 32gb. I have a 16gb phone now and between apps and all the pics and videos I take it just becomes too much for the phone. 32gb needs to become the standard soon. Especially when you have some phones coming out with an OS that takes up half the available storage.

I've got a 64GB MicroSD card but with some game apps taking up GB's of space 16GB isn't enough in what is supposed to be the high end flagship model, not anymore.

If they hadn't gotten rid of saving apps to the SD card then it wouldn't be too much of a problem. The fact that they have and application sizes are getting bigger means that the internal storage needs to move with the times too.

Ordered mine this morning, Vodafone UK - 10th April they are saying for 1st delivery day. Now the long wait begins.

Got the official case through in the post on Saturday - looks and feels very nice, have to say much better than any of the Samsung flipcase efforts (i've had both the official S3 then S4 flipcases).

You know, ever since KitKat's new "improved" filesystem security model, it's very hard for apps to make direct use of SDCard space. Dropsync can't write to the SD card, for example. I think some builds killed app2sd functionality (not sure about Sony offhand, did they even release KitKat yet?).

Yes, if you're a really heavy mobile gamer the SD isn't going to help you as much

I'm hoping AT&T gets it. I've been looking for a good upgrade option and this is it. Hope to hear more about carrier availability sometime soon. The S5 doesn't do anything for me aesthetically or hardware wise. I have an iPhone 5S and the fingerprint scanner is reliable but limited in use. I have serious doubts about how well Samsung's will work. My Nexus 4 is a good phone with a crappy battery and a washed out display. The Z2 is a sexy slab of goodness.
