Question How to Disable Lock Screen

Hi -

I searched the forum and didn't see this anywhere.

Summary - Latest update on Galaxy A13 shows lock screen after blanking display every time. No password, just "swipe up". I want the lock screen display gone like it was before and to go straight to my home page.

What I've tried so far.

Set up password lock screen. Reboot. Set Lock Screen None. Reboot. Lock Screen still displays.

Clear credentials. Reboot. No joy.

Reset all settings. No change.

Wipe cache partition. Not a whiff of help there.

If there's a solution on the internet, I've tried it. Samsung customer service is clueless.

About the only thing I haven't tried yet is a factory reset. I fear this heroic gesture will be a waste of time as well.

I really don't want to keep swiping up dozens of times a day.

Anyone have any idea how to get rid of this annoyance? I haven't tried hiring an Exorcist yet, but I will if that'll rid me of the Lock Screen demon.

Help!

Bob

Welcome to AC!
So you set-up lock screen to None and it still displays a lock screen? Like you still have to enter a password or biometric?
Hi -

I set lock screen to none and the phone still wakes up to the lock screen. Then I have to wipe up to get to my home screen with the widgets. No password or biometric is required. It never had any extra step needed before. I never told it to start demanding I wipe up. I don't want to do that every time my phone wakes up.

Do you have accidental touch in settings>display?

I have no such entry in display.

For some reason when I'm playing a game and let it sit idle, some kind of lock screen, transparent with a lock on it askes me to swipe. On that screen is written accidental touch. But I can't select anything on it.

Can you change Settings > Display > Screen timeout?
I can't help with your game issue.

Hi - Yes, I can change that, but that won't help remove the lock screen. I have it set to 5 minutes.
Or maybe you have the autoblocker on.
I have no autoblocker selection.

I have these screens showing.

Everywhere it thinks there's no screen lock yet it keeps showing the lock page with the stupid internet news feed.

I have all of those disabled because I don't want them. I have an additional option something about fingerprint notifications that was enabled and I turned it off.

I don't want to turn on my phone by tapping the screen. I have a power button. And when my phone turns on, I don't want a screen lock, I want all my widgets displayed. It has been working like that for years and that's all I want.

I'm about to do a factory reset and see if that helps. I doubt it will.

The option Lift to wake turns on when lifted taking straight to home.

When you're playing a game does it enter Samsung game mode?
To enter Game Mode, I have to tap an icon at the bottom left while in game.

Hi -

I absolutely don't want my phone to wake up every time I pick it up, haha. I want it to follow my explicit commands. Turn on when I use the power button. Turn off when I use the power button. I barely tolerate the screen timeout.

I truly think this is a scam by Samsung/Google to force me to see their ads.

Hi, on the off chance, I opened up Game Booster Settings I found the Touch Protection setting disabled.
