Yahoo e-mail

Had some trouble with sending mail through yahoo. Played around with the smtp data per google guidance & now I've got authenication problems and connection time out problems. Can't send or receive. Deleted accounts & tried to start again - ugh. Anybody got an idea as to how to correct this?

Using the default mail app, I had to add my yahoo account via the Other (POP3/IMAP) settings instead of the Yahoo Mail option, and that worked.
