Yahoo email no longer works on my mail app

All of a sudden the phone couldn't automatically log into my yahoo email. I've changed the password and everything. Now I deleted the account from the phone and tried adding it again. It says "authentication failed, verify username and password". I'm 100% certain both are correct.

Any thoughts on how to fix this? It kinda sucks.

Over at Yahoo people are complaining that it's not just the mobile mail that isn't working but Yahoo it's self. This link has posts from the last few days saying the same thing you are.

You could try Maildroid. It has been one of the top rated email apps for several years. Of course there are others also, but I like the features of MD and it handles several accounts from different providers for me. If it's an app thing and not a Yahoo thing this could work.

Thanks. I'm getting the same issue with maildroid. I'm glad gmail is my main email platform.

you probably need to go to a computer and log in to it from there. More then likely your multiple attempts have enabled additional security features that will require your attention.

Yeah I followed that link and add long as 8 hours ago people were posting, "it's been days and response, I was out on hold when calling CS...", it's not looking good.
