I just got a Droid 4 this week. I used the stock e-mail app to set up my account and Yahoo mail loaded right up. I used the stock app on my Samsung Stratosphere and never had an issue, so I went for it on the Droid 4.
However, today, it won't sync or download for some reason, and I don't know why. I went into account settings and tried to delete the account, figuring I'd install it with some manual settings I have found on the Internet, and yet all I get is a "Invalid credentials" error. I even tried turning off the mobile data and turning it back on. The phone has been turned on and off, too. No luck. Basically, it's like the Yahoo mail account is in limbo, I can't access it, but it won't let me delete it either.
Any suggestions on what to do? Please note that I am not here for the "Use _____ app instead" opinions. I am aware I have those options. Instead, I'm trying to fix the problem I have because I am one of those people that when something is broke, I like to see what I can do to fix it, and "sweeping it under the rug and using something else" is not a valid option for me. Thank you in advance for that understanding.
