ok so when i first got my droid i followed the steps in the faq and it worked setting up my yahoo mail with imap. today i wondered why i wasn't getting any yahoo messages anymore and opened email and its telling me invalid username/password so i retyped both and they are right and still telling me that any info or should i use a diff app to get yahoo?

If your running 2.1 you no longer need to go through the process that is in the FAQ. That was for 2.0. The 2.1 release specifically stated updated support for yahoo mail.

I would delete the account and then setup though the normal process as you would with any other non gmail account.

Give that a try.

No luck I deleted the account and started over typed my email and pass hit next instead of manual and still says invalid username/pass so I went to browser to check typed same info and logged me in so dunno what's going on

anyone this is frustrating as most all of my email comes through yahoo

are you putting your whole email address in for you user name? ex xxxx@yahoo.com

yes putting my whole name@yahoo.com and password it says username or password incorrect grr its frustrating

O wow I'm an idiot!! I was on wifi this whole time sorry it worked perfectly once I turned it off
