after I gave up on registering to XDA (since it's easier to break in NSA or something) , I found this forum lively and hopefully I'll get and give some help.

I'm new to Android in general , but not shy of the command line (adb / fastboot, etc) since I use Linux

I have one phrase for you...sudo apt-get install Android-tools-adb
