Welp it happened to me..... My phone fell out of my pocket at dinner and mus thave hit the tile floor just right because the whole screen is now cracked. Just dont understand how it broke so easily when I have dropped much harder before and it didnt break. Hope to get a replacement but there arent any in stock anywhere no?

Verizon has stock for replacement phones, just not purchasing phones. If they allow replacements for broken screen, you should be fine.

Please don't bring religion into a cell phone forum. And when you decide to at least spell the respective spaghetti monsters name correctly. You will open a can of worms you don't want to deal with and nobody wants to hear.

I've dropped my phone a few times on concrete and tile. Not a scratch on it so far thank god. Protected with a case however so that may have helped a bit! Call up Verizon to fix your phone, that's what you pay for insurance for!!! You got insurance right?! I mean it is a $600 phone......

Thus, your criticism of someone else's typo of misspelling a religious icon's name contained a misspelling of "God".

does anyone happen to know what the policy is for adding insurance to an existing device?

I own a moto Droid. verizon. no insurance. thinking of adding it - especially after hearing of this man's woes.

so, would verizon inspect the device before adding insurance. I'm rooted. they're not ever gonna figure this out and actually look at the phone, or be savvy enough to actually look for a SU icon, right?

I just wanna protect from drops and falls and breaks. has anyone ADDED insurance to existing account / phone?

Well I have a friend that works for Verizon so he said he can send me a replacement. I dont carry insurance for this reason (buddy working there). I usually have a slim case on it but I took it off last week. Not sure that would have prevented the glass break.
