"You may miss calls" notification - how do I get rid of this?

[AC Question]

Since the update to Nougat when my phone is on silent (which is almost 24/7) and I plug it in to charge or disconnect it it will pop up with a notification telling me I might miss calls (why does it even need this - this is usually why people put phones on silent) but this pop up will not go away on its own, I have to press "it's ok" every time.
I have been through every notification setting, sounds setting etc and there is no "don't show me this again" opt-in or an off button.
This is becoming very annoying now so please tell me there is a away to get rid of this.

Attached is a screenshot of the notification. This popped up when I plugged my phone in, and also pops up when unplugging, though it doesn't happen every time these events happen.

did anybody find out how to disable the annoying notification it is in the peel smart remote you have to go in through the settings to manage notifications and mute all notifications

I found a solution!!

So this notification has to do with the built in app in your phone called "Peel Remote" it's pre-installed if your phone has an IR shooter. Seems that disabling notifications wasn't enough but disabling it from my apps has fixed the issue.

I've force quit the Peel remote app and then uninstalled it (well, back to the factory default version at least) and haven't gotten the notification yet. Will keep an eye out for it though and post any updates here.

SN: The peel app is ridiculously intrusive. My friend's S6 had a completely new lockscreen installed to her phone, that was somehow linked to this app and disabling the app fixed that issue. I also think it's crazy that the developers don't allow you to turn off the notifications for this app, only mute them for up to a month at a time. That is something that a company can do that makes me lose all respect for your product and services.

I like Peel and use it often. But, these notifications and home-screen changes are a pain. Anybody know of a good IR remote + TV guide app that works similarly?

This problem refer to "peel Smart" (an app in your device) settings. For resolve it, go to settings and in "Notification", you should uncheck the options of general part (The last two options)

Its caused by peel remote. No need to disable peel. Just open peel and go into settings. At the bottom, disable the alert that you dont wanna miss calls.
