I will cherry pick from current devices. HTC One screen and body, with removable battery and SD card, Samsung's capacitive key layout, processor, LED style and TouchWiz without the gimmicks, Razr Maxx battery life.

Something I would love to see is a Nikon designed and built camera front and back.

1. HTC One body
2. S800 processor
3. 1080p 4.7" SuperLCD 2 (HTC One)
4. 13 MP camera (Galaxy S4)/ 8 MP Ultrapixel camera (HTC)
5. Removable storage
6. 3100 mah battery
7. 64gb on board (expandable to 128gb total)
8. Very good front facing camera (iPhone 5)
9. All day battery life - 10 hours of on screen time
10. Stock Android with maybe a few modifications (Moto X)

Here is what I actually have listed in my Google Keep notes. Seriously.

Removable Battery
Minimum 5" 1080P Screen
Gorilla Glass 3
USB Mass Storage Access - Not just MTP
4G Advanced Capable
Minimum 16GB Internal Storage
Expandable Storage
Minimum 12MP Camera
Flash on Camera
Strong Battery
No physical home button

All of that in a sexy metal shell.

Why not a 41 megapixel camera?

Why not a 41 megapixel camera?
Even though it's a dream device, I still wanted to be realistic. I wouldn't want a huge camera bump on my phone like on the new Lumia. Taking pictures isn't that big of a deal to me.

I ALMOST have my dream device with the Sony Xperia Z. I'll be picking one up after work in purple. To make it my dream device:

64gb storage with expandable memory
Battery that could last an entire 24 hours with fairly heavy use
Screen with inky blacks but otherwise fairly realistic colors and not oversaturated like SAMOLED
Easy to see in sunlight
At least a 5mp front camera

This, but in the Razr M size. I just think that it is the perfect size for me.

My personal ultimate dream smartphone would be one that has a modular, replaceable SoC (CPU / GPU), RAM, and internal storage. Ideally this would be standardized and similar to building a custom desktop computer. I would even settle for a proprietary locked down approach, where the parts would be customizable before the ordering and manufacturing of the phone.

In terms of specs, here are some features that would be in my dream phone:

- An external radio antenna port (for boosting weak cellular & GPS signals)
- High impedance stereo microphones & stereo speakers (each with complete manual controls)
- Camera with manual aperture, manual shutter speed and manual ISO controls, both in photo & video modes
- Complete screen color calibration control (software & hardware calibration)
- Heart rate monitor sensor
- Retinal eye scanner

Just a few of the features I can think of at the moment.

- 1080p LCD up to 5"
- Micro-SD slot
- Removable battery
- Incredible battery life
- Quality audio hardware
- Vanilla Google experience

A "Note" like device:
Stylus
5.5 inch screen, 1080p
Fast processor with 4gb ram
Large battery (3500mAh+)
Lumia like camera
Metal trim around the phone
Boom sound speakers
A mix of touchwhiz with vanilla Android's smoothness and update cycle.

Sent from my Note 2
