While these are fun and cool, remember that the phone is rated for a certain immersion depth for a limited amount of time of STILL, SWEET WATER. Pool water is usually chlorinated and/or salty, and sea water is definitely more corrosive than what the phone is rated for, so don't push it!

Right after I got mine I was at work cleaning a pool and couldn't find my phone for about 45 mins and coming to find out it was in 2 1/2 feet of water... Not a issue... Love this phone...

I am not as conservative as some on this board but I throw my G6 in the kids' pool, wash it in the sink regularly, and even play music in the shower with it while shampoo and soap get all over it (though that can muffle the speaker as it "turns low" automatically). You're going to get folks here saying be careful and all that but I just use it man; just use the thing already :) Hail IP68! LOL [Goes to hide behind the sofa...]

Oh, don't get me wrong, I use it (maybe not underwater), but I do use my phone at the pool and in the shower (I just draw the line at sea, mostly because of sand more than salty water, but I've also seen what salt water does to phone ports). BUT the warning needs to be there for people that keep thinking that because they market the phone as waterproof, it doesn't mean it's impermeable in all conditions.

And also, to serve as a reminder that if you're 'that one that failed' because you used it outside of their specs, you can't really be mad at them when they don't honor your Warranty :p

That being said, the LG's page for the G6 is one of the clearest, most straight-forward pages I've seen in terms of what/how it was tested and passed for a spec.

LG G6 Quality: Battery, MIL-STD 810G, Waterproof & More | LG USA

Yep. If the G6 went through 14 military tests "with flying colors", surely it can take a little slash in the shower! :)

LG G6 Passed 14 Different Military Standard Tests
The LG G6 passed 810G military standard testing — including temperature and environmental extremes, pressure, vibration, and shock, as well as salt, sand, dust, and water immersion — with flying colors.
