Z Fold 3 Lounge.

Haha my iPhone battery is excellent but then again I'm usually letting my Android phone do the heavy lifting..

Well I really can't understand the point, but I recharge my iPhone every two days without any hiccups, and this Fold3 is requiring a recharge at 2pm when I start using it at 6am, which is poor, for me. Even my old Note 10+ was much better than this, by far.

But, as someone said and I agree, it's necessary to give some days for the battery to get accostumed with my patterns, which I'm doing. I don't want this gadget to require only one recharge every two days like my iPhone, but only one recharge every day would be good. That's my target with it for now. I received it last Friday, so I have until Thursday to decide if I'll keep it or return it. I really want to keep, but if this battery doesn't improve, I'll have to return. Let's see...

Are you using the iPhone the same way? I only get two days on iPhone if I rarely touch it.

Your fold is new. Most probably you are playing with it much more than your iPhone. With the latest firmware update, I can get 7-8 hrs SOT on my Fold 3 which is pretty decent even comparing to an iPhone max

" Latest firmware update " as in the October update ?

Actually my iPhone continues as my main device right now, as I wait my Fold's autonomy to improve. So I'm using my iPhone much more than my Fold right now. I'm still adapting to it, to the fact I'll need some wireless charger on my desk again, so I'm afraid to make the change. I want to change my SIM card this night, though, since tomorrow I'm expecting a less demanding work day.

But, on the plus side, I can say I really can note continued improving through the days. Hopefully it will become as autonomous as my old Note 10+, which would be sufficient to me.

Yes I concede this could be the case during weekend. Now, though, I'm on a much more normal days. But as I said, I can verify improvements, so I'm starting to be optimistic. And I really really use my iPhone a lot, as I always used a lot my main devices. I count myself between the smartphones hard users.

I wish. I miss my Note 20 Ultra battery life. I charge my fold like 3x a day lol.
I'm a fairly heavy user and usually only have to top off once. Of course a lot depends on which apps are being used, signal strength, features etc., but overall i have no complaints. Speaking for myself though, I've never really minded having to charge my phones if needed. I don't worry about battery life in general, but I can see how for some it's a deal breaker or inconvenient.

This ^

I'm the same.

I have a Samsung charging pad at work and carry a powerbank but I haven't had yo use either yet.

I'm 28 days in from owning the phone and haven't had to top it up once.

However as said battery stats and screen on time is a subjective topic.

Plugged my Fold3 off the charger at 6am. Now it's 8:30am. Read my newspapers, replied some emails... 70% battery...

I received it by Friday, so I have two more days to decide whether I'll keep it or return it. I must say unless this battery improves a lot, I'll have to return it. I don't have walls around me all the time, so a good autonomy is fundamental for my work, which is the purpose of this gadget. Let's see what happens next.

I'm not seeimg this as normal.. IMO something it's possible some app is draining your phone...

Doesn't sound normal at all plus I feel that the phone should be pushed to it's limits the 1st week so it knows the things you do the most. Not really using it doesn't give the phone a clear direction of how to navigate on a daily in order to give you optimal battery life.

I can go two days without charging with 2-4 hours of SOT with my ZF3. Not sure what issue you currently have. But, if you are not happy, definitely return it. To each owner, we all do things differently. If I can go for a day without charging I'm cool if two are even better. So far ZF3 exceed my expectation. It matches the habits of my N20U.

This is a good guess. I’ll check my battery with the Samsung’s tool and with. 3rd party app I trust a lot. Tomorrow is my last day to decide what I’ll do with it. Thanks for the tip!

I totally agree. If this gadget doesn’t work at least a bit better tomorrow, I’ll definitely return it by the end of the day. With sadness, true, but hopeful that Fold 4 will be stronger on autonomy

Why don't you reset your fold 3 and test it without installing any of your apps first? Then you can be sure whether it is the phone fault or your apps fault.
