Z Fold 6 on its way to me...

We've been lucky enough to get all new tech at work; I got an M3 15" MBA in midnight and now I've a Z Fold 6 on its way to me, so when I'm out and about I've got that as my portable desktop and when I'm over in the Dublin offices, I'll have both etc (and my 16PM)

Wanted something different rather than the Pixel 9 Pro Fold again and settled on this (I did consider a 9 Pro XL but wanted the bigger screen)

The Z Fold 6s have dropped in price, a LOT and I've got this from eBay UK, brand new/sealed etc from a seller with very high feedback at a crazy saving over new (silly prices really); EE are selling them brand new/SIM free for £1060 currently, that was my 2nd option as other eBay prices are either close to, same or more...

I've gone for the Silver 256GB model as don't need more than that; Spigen screen protector and Slim Armor case on their way to me as well

Will get pictures of it up when it lands...

How are you finding it?

The idea is I'm going to keep the eSIM in the ZF6 as my business number and get my personal number on to a physical SIM, so when I want to use Android as my daily driver, I'll use the ZF6 (switch the eSIM off etc) because I'm going to get another Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra too haha

That's a nice set up, I alternate with the Pixel as my daily and when eSim is not active use it at home so it's used daily. No complaints

Went for the 256GB / Blue one; it's a lovely colour and better than all black.

Fitted the Spigen EZFit screen protector and camera lens protectors to it as soon as I unboxed it; fitted a Memumi aramid Magsafe case to it as well:

Will let it do all its updates and data transfer and will then start to get it set up as to how I want it etc

So sods law struck yesterday evening; noticed the Z Fold 6 wasn't opening smoothly as it should be and that there was a damaged/warped section on the inner screen surround

This must be a factory issue as the box was fully sealed

Sent it back to the reseller on eBay and he's shipped me another out today, so I'll get that set up (again) tomorrow

My Galaxy Watch Ultra lands tomorrow too; once I'm done with my meetings it'll be like Christmas again

New phone landed today; brand new & seald, and absolutely faultless

Galaxy Watch Ultra landed too; so getting them set up now as I've been stuck in meetings with the San Fran lot all afternoon

Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra all set up and restored from the last time I had one back in September; makes life much easier

Fitted it with an Ultimal strap as much prefer them and I've fitted a clear Ringke case to it as well to keep it protected; as well as a Spigen EZ screen protector

I'll flip between my 16PM and AWU2 and the ZF6 and GWU

So far so impressed... Its a great phone to use.

I've got SwiftKey installed as IMO it's the best keyboard out there. Resized it so it makes typing on the front screen easier for my fat thumbs etc

It's great to use closed but obviously superb to use when opened

The cameras very good too. OK it's not on the same level as my 16PM but that's to be expected. However for point n shoot pictures. I cannot tell any difference between the

Never got on with GBoard TBH; my wife's loves it on her Pixel 9 Pro

I just prefer Swiftkey; I like the layout, themes, number row and the extra characters on the keys etc

It's not as good on iOS but it's still better than Apple's own native keyboard IMO

I'm going to run the ZF6 / GWU this week and see how I get on with them both; I do really like them both and if I feel that they'll do the job I need; I may consider selling the 16PM and AWU2 on... Emphasis on the word 'may'.
