So, the ZTE Axon 7 is now official, and at an extremely compelling price-point at $399.98 for 64GB and 4GB of memory. That puts it squarely against the OnePlus 3 at the same price-point.

What would you pick? The ZTE Axon 7 has audio, Daydream and display on its side while the OnePlus 3 has custom ROM developer support, extra memory and faster charging.

Personally, it's a tough choice for me. Each phone has its strengths and both are also compelling options, especially for the price-point. But if I had to choose, it would probably be the Axon. The OnePlus 3 is a great phone, especially for the price, but ultimately, the dual-speakers and focus on audio ultimately made me pick it. Also an upcoming 128GB/6GB variant will be coming. And it also has an SD card slot, something that I use quite often.

It's definitely a tough choice, which I'm glad I don't have to make since neither one has a display in the fabled 5.7" or greater range. However, if I had to choose on specs alone, I'd also have to go with the ZTE, also for the ff speakers and audio focus, but also because I may have taken all of a dozen pictures with my Nexus 6 in the past year and absolutely zero videos. (And that has nada to do with any alleged weakness in the N6 camera.) If a smartphone camera was important to me, though, I'd have to go with the OP3 (based on several YouTube comparisons & reviews I've watched).

I think the OP3 might have the better camera.

The Axon 7's camera seems to have some issues right now.
