Rooted but no root access

I am rooted running Thundershed v1.6 and want to give the new nusense rom a try. While preparing to do so ie: making back ups through titanium and my back up root, my phone force closes my backup and titanium back up says I don't have root access. Neither does root check. I also try to open superuser but it forces close every time. Any thoughts?

Uninstalled superuser and reinstalled and it seems to be all working now. Checked all necessary root access apps and root check and they work. Strange. I believe I had a severely out of date superuser app.
